Definitions and general concepts

Vous, Le locataire désigne les conducteurs et payeurs mentionnés dans le contrat de location et l’ayant signé en tant que locataire.
Nous, la société désigne la société fascinocars, dont le nom figure sur le contrat de location.
Véhicule désigne une voiture de tourisme ou un véhicule utilitaire que nous louons pour la durée convenue du contrat de location.
Damage means any damage to the vehicle, including broken glass, headlights, mirrors and lights.
Vol du véhicule inclut le vol par vandalisme, le vol d’accessoires et la tentative de vol.

Eligibility to rent a car

You must provide us with the documents and information necessary to draw up your rental contract, including your identity and passport, address (home and e-mail), landline telephone number, mobile telephone number, date and place of issue and expiry of your driving license, and means of payment for your rental. All drivers must have held a valid driving license for at least 12 months, corresponding to the category of vehicle rented. He or she must also be over 21 years of age (the required age may be higher for certain vehicle categories). A "young driver's tax" may be applied to your rental if you are aged between 18 and 20. The average cost is around 200.00 MAD per day.

At the start of the rental period, you will be required to make a prepayment of the foreseeable amount of the rental invoice, plus the deposit.

Vehicle condition

A document describing the condition of the vehicle is attached to your contract. Before leaving the station, you agree to record any apparent damage not described on this document. If you fail to do so, you will be deemed to have received a vehicle that complies with the declaration. Unfortunately, we cannot accept claims for apparent damage not reported at the time of departure. You must return the vehicle in the condition in which you received it. Any cost of repair due to the hirer's fault will be added to the rental charge.

Vehicle use

You must never drive the vehicle outside Morocco (across the border) without written authorization from fascinocars.

In accordance with the principle of personal penalties, you are responsible for any offences committed during the rental period. Consequently, you are informed that your references may be communicated to the police authorities on request.

You agree to use the vehicle in a prudent and reasonable manner and, in particular, without being under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or any other substance that may impair your driving ability, in accordance with the Highway Code and its intended use, which primarily means the free transportation of persons for a passenger vehicle.

ATTENTION: In particular, you must not use the rental vehicle for :

  • Rent it back ;
  • Carrying passengers for remuneration ;
  • Carrying more people than indicated on the vehicle registration document;
  • Take part in rallies, competitions or trials, wherever they may be located;
  • Giving driving lessons;
  • Pushing or towing another vehicle;
  • Driving on a road that is unsuitable for a motor vehicle, or whose surface or condition presents risks for tires or parts under the vehicle;
  • Committing a national/international offence ;
  • Off-road driving, mountains, etc.

fascinocars allows pets to travel in rental vehicles. However, cleaning and detailing charges may apply.

Goods and luggage carried in the vehicle, including their packaging and securing, must not damage the vehicle or present an unreasonable risk to its occupants. When you park the vehicle, even for a short stop, you undertake to lock the vehicle and use the alarm and/or anti-theft devices installed on the vehicle (where applicable).

Never leave the car unoccupied with the keys in the ignition. Failure to return the keys cancels the theft waiver. In the event of damage or theft, you must send the company the accident report or theft report receipt issued by the authorities, together with the vehicle keys and documents, as soon as possible.

Maintenance / Mechanical problems

During your rental period and depending on the mileage covered, you will be required to carry out a routine inspection (oil level in excess of 1000 kilometers, tire pressure, etc.) in accordance with reasonable and prudent use. The renter must remain vigilant to the vehicle's dashboard warning lights and take all necessary precautions, such as an emergency stop.

The vehicle is supplied with five tires that comply with traffic regulations. In the event of damage to one of them for any reason other than normal wear and tear, latent defect or force majeure, you undertake to replace it immediately at your own expense with a tire of the same size, type, brand and wear.

In the event of mechanical breakdown only (excluding accidents), assistance is included in the price of your rental. The conditions of this assistance are defined in article 8 below "Insurance conditions, assistance and useful advice".

ATTENTION: fascinocars makes no commitment to supply you with a car of a specific model or color, and reserves the right to make modifications if necessary. However, we guarantee the category of your choice and, if not available, a higher category.

Length of stay - Definition of calculation

The lessee undertakes to return the vehicle to the company on the date specified in the rental contract, failing which civil and criminal proceedings may be instituted. The rental period is determined by the indivisible period of 24 hours, starting from the time the vehicle is made available; however, you have a tolerance of 29 minutes at the end of the rental period before a new 24-hour period is applied. If you wish to keep the vehicle beyond the period specified in the contract, you must first go to the fascinocars office to extend the rental contract and pay for the extended rental period.

End of lease

The rental period ends when the vehicle, keys and documents are returned to a fascinocars agent at the company counter. Under no circumstances should you hand over the keys to people in the parking lots claiming to be fascinocars agents. If the vehicle is returned without its keys, the cost of replacing them will be billed to the hirer, together with the cost of repatriating the vehicle. Repatriation of the vehicle will be charged at 5 MAD/km (VAT included) to the nearest fascinocars station. The company cannot be held responsible for goods left in the vehicle at the end of the rental period.

ATTENTION: Only the return of the vehicle, documents and keys to the rental agent during opening hours will terminate the rental contract. Remember: you are responsible for the vehicle until the end of the rental contract. Exceptions: if the vehicle is confiscated, the rental contract may be terminated by operation of law as soon as the company is informed by the judicial authorities or the lessee. Any use of the vehicle

If the customer fails to comply with the terms of the rental agreement, the company is entitled to terminate the rental agreement with immediate effect. In this case, the company reserves the right to claim damages for any loss suffered.

Financial terms and conditions

Payment for your rental is by credit card only. We accept the following credit cards for payment of your rental: Visa, Mastercard, American Express. The renter is always personally responsible for payment, even if the billing account is transferred to a third party (for credit or other reasons).

The hirer expressly accepts that non-payment of any invoice or any sum due under the rental contract will result in the immediate payment of all outstanding invoices, and authorizes the company to demand the immediate return of vehicles currently rented. The customer shall pay all invoices for closed rental contracts.

Applicable prices

The prices applicable to the rental, additional services and optional extras or insurance will be those in force at the time the contract is signed, and based on the information you have provided (duration, return station, etc.). Any change in this information will result in the application of a substituted price, mentioned in the brochure for the agreed price. Gasoline is not included in the basic rental rate. The company rents vehicles with the same level of fuel and the customer must return the rented vehicle with the same amount of fuel and pay for the fuel missing from the tank of the rented vehicle at the time of return at the price of 10 MAD/liter + 200 MAD refueling fee (VAT included). The amount of the missing fuel is indicated on the closed rental contract.

ATTENTION: The customer is fully responsible for the rented vehicle during the rental period. Malfunctions caused by refuelling with an inappropriate type of fuel will be invoiced for a minimum amount of 2500 MAD deducted from the deposit.

Customers pay 600 MAD (incl. VAT) for washing extremely dirty vehicles (interior or exterior).
The customer pays an additional MAD 60 per day for the child safety seat, up to a maximum of MAD 500 per rental. A destroyed child seat will be billed at 1200 MAD. Cleaning a heavily soiled child seat will be billed at 120 MAD.
The customer will cover the full value of damage not covered by the insurance company to the following parts of the vehicle: wheels, hubcaps, underbody, rims, interior and radio.
For a destroyed/damaged tire, the customer will be charged 2,500 MAD per part.
The customer will pay the total value of the lost vehicle keys/alarm keys/vehicle documents: 1,500 MAD per item.
The customer will pay 250 MAD for the loss of the vehicle's license plate.
For unauthorized return of the vehicle outside Moroccan borders (if applicable), the hirer will be charged an international one-way penalty of 30,000 MAD.

One-way rentals are available, return fees may apply. Special equipment/additional options can be requested at the time of booking, but are not included in the rental price. They are paid in local currency at the rental counter.

Early returns / Unused rental days

If the renter decides to return a fascinocars vehicle early, no refund will be made for unused rental days. No refunds (partial or total) will be given for rentals terminated prematurely, including the purchase of ancillary items, late pick-ups, no-shows or cancellations made after the rental start date.

The product is not refundable in the following cases:

  • You did not inform us of the cancellation of your reservation prior to your pick-up.
  • You have not collected the car at the agreed time and date.
  • You have not provided the documents (passport and driving license) required to collect the car.
  • You have not provided a credit card with sufficient funds and with the name of the principal driver printed on it.
  • You have been blacklisted by the car rental company.

In all these cases, no refund will be given.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will be subject to a charge of 800 MAD. No refunds will be made if cancellations are made after the date and time reserved for pick-up.

Conditions of insurance and assistance - CIVIL LIABILITY INSURANCE

Tous nos véhicules sont couverts par une police de Responsabilité Civile conformément aux lois et règlements en vigueur au Maroc. Ils bénéficient également d’un contrat d’assistance technique avec les stations de location de voitures fascinocars et les partenaires contractuels qui seront indiqués au client lorsqu’il demande de l’assistance à la station de location de voitures fascino cars rental la plus proche.

Le client peut également souscrire une assurance optionnelle Conducteur et Passagers (mentionnée comme PAI ou cochée sur le contrat) en payant un tarif fixe par jour de location.

Les conditions et limitations des assurances obligatoires ou optionnelles, des garanties contractuelles, ainsi que celles du contrat d’assistance, seront exposées dans la brochure Guide de Location, Conditions d’Assurance et Conseils Utiles disponible dans toutes les stations de location de voitures fascinocars.

Late arrival policy

Reservations will be held for two (2) hours after the reserved pick-up time, unless you contact us to change your arrival time. Two hours after the reserved pick-up time, the reserved vehicle will be made available to other customers. If you arrive more than two hours after the reserved pick-up time, we will try to provide you with a vehicle, but availability cannot be guaranteed.

In the event of a flight delay, if the new arrival time is outside the opening hours of the pick-up locations, these will remain open, provided that the correct flight number is present in the booking and that the carrier or operator has notified the delay and the new arrival time. After-hours charges apply.

Any departure from these terms requires the prior written consent of the company.
